 Was Rahman

Was Rahman is CEO and co-founder of Dolphin Advisory. He is an experienced entrepreneur, senior executive and author with over two decades' experience working with governments, corporates, SMEs and startups.

Was has held executive positions in some of the world’s leading IT firms, for example establishing Accenture’s telecoms practice in Poland and serving on Infosys Technologies’ Executive Council in Europe. He is an advisor to the UK Government on the Global IT Industry

Was has experience across a variety of industries including IT and IT-enabled services, financial services, telecoms, media and healthcare. His functional expertise includes change management, strategy and planning, outsourcing and offshoring, mentoring and coaching, relationship management with senior business executives, vendors and alliance partners.

Was is a charter member of TiE and advises the TiE UK board on branding and PR. He holds a degree from Oxford University

 Priya Kurien

Priya is Managing Director and co-founder of Dolphin Advisory and has 15 years of experience working with corporates, SMEs and startups on a wide variety of strategic business and technology issues.

Priya has enjoyed a distinguished career in the global IT industry, including a decade at Infosys Technologies, starting in its early rapid growth phase. She held a variety of client-facing and internally-focused positions there, including a leadership role in SETLabs, its innovation arm. Earlier at EDS, she pioneered the firm’s efforts to set up outsourced services from India.

Priya’s expertise includes coaching organisations on effective selling techniques, mentoring senior executives on pragmatically putting strategy into practice. She has led key accounts, architected and developed technology programmes for large corporates, has expertise in complex project management and has commercialised IP. Having been part of Infosys’ CMM 4 & 5 journeys, she is an IT auditor and is known to create pragmatic processes where there are none.

Was and Priya co-authored the critically acclaimed management book, "Blind Men and the Elephant", charting the evolution and future of global IT services, with special emphasis on the role of Indian firms in setting new rules of the game.
