WAS RAHMAN
With 2 decades of business experience, Was Rahman has a broad and varied career that gives him a unique perspective on growing businesses globally. Was has spent his career advising business and technology executives on how to take advantage of the changing role and potential of IT. He has held leadership positions with Infosys Technologies and Accenture, as well as being Managing Director of a European ISP. He has helped numerous blue chip companies change the way they do business around new technologies and business models, including JP Morgan, Shell, Toshiba, Telstra, British Airways and Virgin. He started his career in Investment Banking, after obtaining his Physics degree at Oxford and Masters in Management and IT at Coventry University. He is a Charter Member of TiE UK.
PRIYA KURIEN
Priya has had a distinguished 13 year career on the technology side of industry, including a decade at Infosys Technologies where she co-developed the firm’s European Strategy and Solutions Programme. Earlier, with EDS, she pioneered the firm’s efforts to set up outsourced services from India well before it became the mainstream option it is today. She has many “firsts” to her name, from building platforms to enable banks to provide new services through to leading Internet application projects that used the global delivery model in such work for the first time in the world. She led some of Infosys’ first technology consulting engagements, as the firm moved from its core business of programming and design into higher value-added services. She also spent several years in SETLabs, Infosys’ innovation and R&D arm, looking at how to package and commercialise its IP.
